About Dr Christine Ellisdon

I enjoy supporting individuals and couples to uncover the barriers that prevent them from living their best lives and enjoying deep and fulfilling relationships. I believe in the internal resources each person has and the wisdom available through connecting with the body that can help people develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others so they can feel more settled in daily life.

Psychological counselling can be a process that supports you in exploring how your life experiences have shaped your behaviour patterns, feelings, beliefs, and protective mechanisms. Observing physical sensations in the body and engaging in other mind-body exercises can help unlock feelings of ‘stuckness’ and help shift feelings from being difficult or overwhelming to manageable and freeing.  New ways of relating to our internal and external experiences can the develop where the ability cope and self-regulate may increase while self-awareness can also develop.  Areas such as self-expression, clarifying values, maximising strengths and connecting with purpose are also common areas many people find beneficial to address.

Psychological counselling is for anyone who feels their life could be more fulfilling and enriching.  You don’t need to have mental health issues to benefit.
